Workshops/Activities for Members

The Lane Cove Art Society organises workshops and visits to galleries or artists’ studios 3 to 4 times a year.

 Living & Leisure Centre

Living & Leisure Centre

The workshops are held from 10am to 4pm at the Living & Leisure Centre, 180 Longueville Rd Lane Cove (3 doors down from the Community Centre).
Bring your own equipment and lunch; morning tea is provided by the Lane Cove Art Society.
For insurance purposes, you need to be a member to attend workshops.

Parking: limited parking in Longueville Rd.  Plenty of spaces at Parking Station behind Lane Cove Library  (opposite Gallery Lane Cove) - access via Austin Street. First 3 hours are free.


Workshop with Mark Dober - 22 September  10am - 4pm. Mixed Media
Mark will be offering Fred Williams mixed media painting - oil pastels.
Mark is a professional artist and teacher, based in Castlemaine, Victoria. ( see photo below)

Forms will be available at our June Meeting.
Please let a committee member know if you wish to attend.

Workshop with Patrick Carroll  - Postponed till later in 2018
Cost $100 per person for the day

Patrick will present his usual exciting approach to painting acrylics. 
Numbers are a maximum of 10 so first in first served.
Bring your own lunch and materials.

New LCAS Plein Air Group – Come and join us!
Come and paint or draw together in a monthly get together,  10am -12.30 noon.
Bring your lunch or refreshments and whatever painting or drawing media you like. Open to members and friends of LCAS.
Plein Air for July to November will be the 4 th Thursday of each month, at the Coal Loader Waverton as there are various aspects worthy of painting. , Meeting at 10 - 12.30 outside  the cafe.  Cafe is open 7am -3pm Wed -Sun.
